It's as though you traveled through time back to 1932. Nice work.

You've got a great eye to capture peculiar moments in all you pictures with a great quality. Congratulations. In this particular one, I love the irony of the situation (reading so attentively the social notes) and the way you expresss it with composition, detail and light.

Agree with all previous comment,, sorry I can not critic more or less...

You have a real eye for images of people and capturing the moment. The only negitive thing I can say is that the editing is a bit rough where you darkened the exposure. If your using Photoshop, try using layer masks, it might help. Your work is extreamly strong!

This is an outstanding image in my opinion. Clearly those hams holding the paper are used to work & seems out of character for him to be interested in the social page. Looks like he may be giving the photographer a glance out of the corner of his eye.

This is an early bad scan from a bad print. I should replace it, as I have better prints and better scans now.

 

What you are seeing is a highlight from the newspaper on his eye.

... the intensity of his reading the social page of a newspaper while dressed in working clothes, with workingman's hands if I've ever seen them. Amazing feeling to this shot, technically superb as well.
