mvisionphotography 1 Posted October 6, 2007 Is it broken? I love the purple color. This is really wild looking. I love it. It could be a comercial picture looking like this. Link to comment
kareng 0 Posted October 6, 2007 This is the remnants of a DVD drive that I recently replaced. It wasn't broken yet but it was so loud that it had to go. I love taking things apart, and I had nothing better to do, so out came the tools. The contraption in the middle is the laser assembly that zips around and reads the discs. I took a picture of it on a black background too, but something about using the circuit board as a backdrop made sense to me. This really is the first time I've ever touched a .NEF file or any raw image for that matter, I have always use jpgs that come right out of the camera. I liked the purple too, that's all color correction through the Camera Raw plugin. I can get all the 3/3s in the world on this one, I still think it's cool. Karen Link to comment
joe-tury 0 Posted October 9, 2007 Yes I think it is cool also. The saturation work looks good. I think it could be a bit sharper but overall a nice image. Link to comment
kareng 0 Posted October 9, 2007 Thanks Joseph. I'm eyeing a macro lens and I still have this stuff so I might retake it when I get my lens. Have to get my car fixed first though. :( And maybe some new tires before winter... *sigh* I need a slush fund with someone elses money in it. Anyhow.. I'm glad you liked it and there will be more coming as soon as I get my new lens. I was pretty pleased with it, but I see the same shortcomings that you see, so now I'm more motivated to get the right tools and take close ups of pretty much everything. I can hardly wait. I need to slow down though, I keep getting flooded by ideas and there's not enough time in the day to do them all. :) Karen Link to comment
