Fall Fog sunrise

thadley

Did not have my split density filter with me but used PS to achieve the same thing - more detail in the foreground and a slightly darker sky.

What a beautiful image! I love the muted colors of the trees in contrast to the brighter yet still somewhat subdued colors of the sky.

Thanks for your generous endorsement of this image. It was part of Monday's trip up "North" to Mount Tremblant Quebec. I timed my arrival (almost 90 minutes drive) there with the sunrise and was rewarded with some interesting scenes. I also spotted a lake with interesting mist and light but could not get access to it. You win some and lose some. Best regards,

Lovely composition with a gorgeous background. The low lying mists really add to your image Regards-Ross

Really dig this one Tony. The deep orange of the sky mirrors the fall colors. The mist provides some drama. Well concieved and rendered!!!

Hope all is well - I have to stop by and see what new images you have. Thanks for commenting and rating. It would have been nice to have some fellow photographers along instead of doing it solo.

When I see mist, I am motivated to capture it and you have to do it quickly because it moves and does not last long - at least that is what I have experienced. All the best and thanks for your generous endorsement of this image.

I usually don't like sunrise and sunset photographs because the photographer doesn't bring much to the image. That is not the case here. What a lovely image and it took more imagination than just pointing the camera.

Alan: thanks for stopping by and commenting. If you can trace your roots 4 or 5 generations back to England - perhaps we may be distantly related. I now live in Canada.

All the best,
