water and rocks with alittle fall color

I think that this could be a great photo if there wasn't quite so much water and rock. I think the water and rock should be an auxillary focus. But good shot never the less.

i have been trying to do this how do you do it? i have tried slow shutter speeds but it just turns out way to bright. let me know
