hopsage 0 Posted September 30, 2007 Lovely color, depth of field, and composition, Jason. Especially the color. I see two things that could improve the image. First, the horizon is a little bit off level: tilting just slightly to the right. Second, it looks like you had to do some serious dodging work to get the sky and foreground at the right tonality. It looks great, but there's a very obvious blending line along the tops of the trees. I think you'd be better off with more of a gradient mask, and just let the trees go to black. Anyway, nicely done. Link to comment
jasonsmith894 0 Posted September 30, 2007 Thank you for the comment. Yes, I did have to do some fairly intensive dodging work to get the tones right, and I may let the trees go a bit darker. Thank you for pointing out the horizon line, I actually corrected it alread (it was much more tilted than it currently is), but I must not have gone far enough. Thanks again! Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted October 1, 2007 I go back to Solomon's Island every year, so this means a lot to me! I have walked along the Calvert Cliffs a bunch, and this image is them! I think you should take the trees a bit darker; they look a little bit funky as they are. great work! A 6/6 anonymously. Cheers! Chris Link to comment
