omarmc 0 Posted September 30, 2007 Hello Rafik, Fantastic Image very nice color effect, congratulations. I would like to give you a small critique, I hope you don't mind, The moon look a little flat I would like to see more shadow to get this 3D effect. And aswering you question from the Dragonfly picture, No I didn't stack images I took this Photograph at the smallest aperture my lens can give F16 . Best Regards. Omar Martinez. Link to comment
rafikrkamel 1 Posted September 30, 2007 Hi omar, thanks for stopping by and for ur honeest critique, if u can illustrate what u mean by the 3d effect? i would love to hear more about that. About this shot, the shot was taken with 70-300 vr nikon @ 300mm plus 2x, VR was turned off. I think focal length was like 930mm in 35mm equivalent. i cropped like half of it. shot with manfrotto 190 x pro B tripod and manfrotto 488RC4 ballhead which is a sturdy head. i focused manually and used the d70 cable shutter release. i increased the kelvin degrees like 4000 degrees to get that dusty look. About ur shot, wow only f/16 and u have established that DOF, what focal length was this dragon fly shot at? i also love the lighting effect on ur dragon fly, it is awesome. thx again and regards, RK! rafikrkamel 1 Posted September 30, 2007 *I understand omar, i didnt get it the wrong way at all, i was just wondering how can u come up with shadows on a subject like that? thx again n feel free to critique as much as u want any photo in my portfolio, regards, RK! Link to comment
neild 1 Posted December 15, 2007 Naturally, you do not get shadows with a full Moon, except when there is a lunar eclipse as shown above. Both photos are very good while also being very different. Link to comment
