srr 0 Posted October 1, 2007 Beautiful backyard. A smaller aperature with more focus on the foreground might have given more detail throughout the image. To me, the very soft foreground is a problem. Also a grad ND filter might have helped with the pale sky. I did not rate. ... Your gallery has some wonderful images. I really like the badlands. Your photos make me want to go there. Actually this photo makes me want to go to your backyard! You have a wonderful outdoor studio there. Link to comment

srr 0 Posted October 2, 2007 Hmmm. Did you capture this recently? What was your aperture? I was thinking that you were closer to the subject, and if the aperture was larger than f/14, then you might try f/22 or so. However, you were using a 300mm with 1.4 converter. That could explain what I am seeing. If there was any wind then it might be impossible to freeze the grass and flowers. I'm probably telling you stuff you already know quite well. Link to comment
