Thanks, Joe. I agree about the eye... I'm gonna try playing with that. An interesting note is that this image prints much better (Epson 2200, matte paper) than it shows on the screen! Go figure.

Dave, I understand and should have given you the benefit of the doubt. Calibrating a monitor has become a skill unto itself (one I haven't mastered because I don't have the necessary software yet). After my system crashed two weeks ago, I spent an hour just tweaking my monitor settings back to low-grade "acceptable." I have no idea what my current stuff looks like on other screens. It may very well show up like wildly colored pop art. Regards, Joe

Hi, Joe. Thanks for saying something about monitor calibration. That's something I haven't much attended so far, and I need to learn about it. I've done some minimal, basic calibration on my Apple 23", but there's obviously a lot more to do. I'm gonna start looking into the software you mentioned. I would like others to see something at least close to what I think I'm seeing! Regards, Dave
