Guest Guest Posted September 30, 2007 There is longing and tension in this image. The dancer's body position expresses a reaching out, a yearning. The back of the conductor is like a brick wall. The stage reflections are beautifully captured. Another contrast, the warmth of the colors on the dancer, the reflections, and the earthtones of the musicians against the simpler black and white of the conductor. In this case, as probably is often the case especially with hard-nosed conductors, he seems as if the enemy, standing aloof, to the side, cut-off both by cropping and by seeming uninvolved in the main action. You have certainly enhanced this moment in your capture of it. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted September 30, 2007 Jack, I'm sure you would have enjoyed that dance creation a lot, at least I try to let you have the best of seats here...... Fred, very much appreciate your feelings on that one as well. Mehmet, thank you as well. Link to comment
sarahunderhill 1 Posted October 1, 2007 Pnina, This is great! All the musicians upright and serious! With wild dancer on the floor dressed in some color-wonderful! Link to comment
j_m_lee_photography 0 Posted October 3, 2007 Collaboration puts words to their stories, provides solace for their soul, and points them to a Power greater than themselves. That's the beauty I found in this picture. Shalom dear Pnina and a blessed Yom Kippur holiday. Link to comment

mikestacey 0 Posted October 4, 2007 A good one Pnina. She almost looks displaced from the orchestra, as if involved in something entirely different from them. Interesting and the colour and spotlight works very well. Link to comment

blackdogstudio 1 Posted October 6, 2007 Love the "seeming" discordance created by her presence, as though the music has "overcome" her and is "dragging" her towards the conductor. You know Pnina, this is an apparent "glow' around her. This is a fantastic composition and very well captured. Love it very much, my dear friend. Regards. Link to comment
