mvisionphotography 1 Posted September 23, 2007 Her eyes, I want to see her face!! I love the picture and the way you took it but those eyes. You know "I" personally love the hair in the face. I love everything about the picture. I love the colors and the look. I love the perplexed look. The wind is wonderful. My husband just called her a Nordic Gypsy. hmmm Beautiful Link to comment
gerfoy3 0 Posted September 23, 2007 Thanks Micki...Alex found me a model so I'm delighted. Hopefully I'll get a few more sessions out of her because as you know I don't get to photograph adults too often and I'm not as comfortable working with adults as I am with children. So any advice in any of these shots would be very welcome. Link to comment
rogerleekam 0 Posted September 23, 2007 Her face is the real strong point here, & I could see a facial portrait being an absolute knockout. The beautiful blowing hair framing her dramatic face in half shadow is absolutely stunning. Great work! Link to comment
gerfoy3 0 Posted September 23, 2007 Thanks Roger...I did a few closer shots so hopefully they will turn out ok! Link to comment
richygale 0 Posted September 23, 2007 I like the way you have captured her hair its superb and makes this image, the location is perfect 10/10 and from the shoulders up she is perfect. But I'm not to keen on her pose I supose it just personal feeling but she looks a bit akward the way she has her hands. Anyway great work well done. Rich. Link to comment
pepmir 0 Posted September 24, 2007 Beautiful portrait with a few excellent colors. Regards. Link to comment
leannasreflections 0 Posted September 25, 2007 Hi Ger. There is so much I love about this pic. The backgound is very nice, her flowing hair, the colors her facial expression. I like her pose except she looks like she needs to relax some. It may be her trying to keep balanced. I cant wait to see some closer shots of her and I hope you get to work together again. Both model and photog are more relaxed in the second shoot as you know what to expect. She is a beauty. Now Im off to go look at more. :O) PS. That is so awesome of your wife to arrange this with her. I wish my hubby would do that for me. :O) Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 25, 2007 Well... I love it. I don't really have much else to say. I look to people like you for help with portraits, and am in way over my head if I were to offer you a critique on this. Just wanted to let you know I stopped in, and saw it, and absolutely love it. :) Link to comment
JohnMWright 1 Posted September 25, 2007 I love how the background radiates from behind the model, and the near pure white of the log. Her pose is interesting but the best part for me is her hair. It glows and waves in the wind. Link to comment
anthonyd 0 Posted September 27, 2007 First things first... Cheers to Alex! You did a wonderful job finding her. Her free spirit shines through in these photos. Ger owes you dinner! Going to nit pick this one a little. Very little. The blur on the edge of her skirt bothers me a little. Not a lot, just enough to mention it. I would also like to have seen the skirt in full frame. I like the colors but I had to see it in B&W. I really like this one in B&W but that doesn't take from the fact that it looks good this way as well. It's been said that she looks a bit tense here, but for me, I think it looks more IN-tense and I like it. Her flowing hair and look are excellent. ~Anthony Link to comment
skersell33 0 Posted December 20, 2008 Very powerful. I too would like to have seen the skirt in full frame. Love it in color though. Love the vividness up against the light surroundings. Did you use a reflector on this one? Very pretty! Link to comment
