chrisvest 1 Posted October 3, 2007 this is a painted "digital alteration", (tho no animals were harmed in the production of this image). i remain curious if bird enthusiasts will embrace digital alterations? Link to comment
doug_gentry 0 Posted October 3, 2007 Mr Vest, A wonderful and well balance image. The colors, the lines, it all comes together. DIgital Alterations.....well...it is still a wonderful image.....and that sir...is the ticket. Thank you for sharing. Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted October 3, 2007 I love this. It is so well done, and perfect as a painting. I suspect you will get a variety of opinions. There are those who love digital alterations and those who feel that it is preferable to stay true to the classic art of photography, and then everything in between. I admire beauty and this is a beautiful image. Link to comment
evanroboldphotography 0 Posted October 3, 2007 This image inspires me to look for a similar situation in real-life. This may sound strange but I like your signature in this photo - gives the impression that you wrote it in the dirty window knowing exactly where the bird was going to appear. Cool to think about for me anyway. Link to comment

dougbrown 0 Posted October 3, 2007 Spectacular photo! I still get slightly confused when photographers feel compelled to apologize for using Photoshop or altering a photo beyond sharpening and cropping. This is a work of art, IMHO. I don't care what you did to get this results, in art, it's the results that matters. This is a truly stand-out photo, one of the best I've seen in a while. Please, keep on this track regardless of what the purists say. BTW, I'm not only a bird lover, bird watcher, and bird photographer, but have a Senegal Parrot right next to my computer setup. You certainly don't offend me in anyway by altering your fine photograph. Thanks... Link to comment
jgalyon 0 Posted October 11, 2007 from one who is not an avid wildlife photographer, bird watcher, etc... i stand in complete awe of this photograph! my wife is a "birder"...and she about blew a fuse when she saw this.... careful, or you'll convert me to shooting birds instead of electrical meters! clivefox 1 Posted May 18, 2009 This series of birds is superb. This shot would look good as a dare I say "normal image", however your treatment turns it into a wonderful piece of art. The composition and colouration extremely powerful. Wonderful work. Clive Link to comment
