His body language gives the impression that he is totally shutting her out like an authoritarian Kafka figure. He's holding a soulful instrument yet looks cold. And the difference in their costumes--he so formal, and she not adds to the tension. Even the portholes are closed. He's seems to be denying her, impervious to temptation. Beautiful and interesting photograph.

It is always interesting to me what I feel about a photo while photographing it and the impact it makes on the viewers.

Fred, Yes, it is this one. I'm glad you have seen it and made the comparison, it is an essential part of the dance narative, the interrelationship between the musicians and dancers. It has its cold relation, warm ones and many comics where the dancers are laughing at the musicians.... (that is hard to transfer...). I will upload another one or two of that subject, a different scenes to enlarge the narative aspects of it, I wonder what your reaction will be on your "read" of them. Thanks for taking the time.

Donna, basicly, you read it as Fred, what is impotrtant for me is that I think I have touched the feeling of most of the viewers that took the time to look deeper.

Thanks again.

We are commenting on your image leisurely. But you have achieved so many thinks in a trice. Apart from achieving excellent exposure and light control, you have captured their gesture & posture in such a way, that makes viewer sit-up and appreciate your work. Best wishes for the ensuing exhibition,Pnina.
