Esta foto tan melancolica..., tan intima, en blanco y negro toma otra dimension mas acorde, en mi posicion, a la sensacion que produce.

Very well composed Joao, the right place for contemplation. My only nit is that the negative space, maybe is a bit too big. What do you say about a square possibility? I tried it, I hope you don't mind ;-))

They were going to sail away

 

To distant lands

 

Someday

 

Maybe they’d fly instead

 

No, they would sail

 

For it was not foreign lands

 

That called out to them

 

But rivers and oceans

 

That were almost as big

 

As their dreams

 

They sat and looked out

 

At their destiny

 

From a piles of rocks

 

That was placed there

 

By the souls of dead sailors

 

The old fisherman

 

Had told them

 

When they saw him last

 

Piled high like their hopes

 

And shaded by a tree

 

That understood

 

Reaching for dreams

 

They were good friends

 

They did not need words

 

Surely you could be forgiven

 

For forgetting school

 

On a day such as this

 

That God had painted golden

 

For two young boys.
