Adela, Yes, this is snow, but it is also spring. I'm fast-forwarding through winter into the spring thaw. Ah, the psychological games I play to make it through cold weather!

A giant Milkshake with vanilla branches...well again you trick me with season...I just love the snow color and the branches going out of the frame in a radial way...

This is a wonderful addition to that part of your portfolio which is dedicated to thoughtful, simple, unique composition and contrasts. You continue to show an eye able to isolate the usual, make it the unusual, and make it work.

This is very impressive and very creative piece of photography, I like the exposure value here which is very well balanced and also the composition and atmosphere, great job my friend

Wishing you all of the best

Minimally beautiful with the slightest teal cast which only makes it more nostalgic for me. The blown out details only enhance that effect more. If square it could be polaroid.

"STAY BACK!!! KEEP AWAY!!!" It is way too early for SNOW! I still need to explore the autumn woods looking for mushrooms for dinner.

This photo was rescued from last winter's discards to practice toning. The details of the snow were intentionally blown to give a sense of glow. I liked it, but didn't post it for critique or anything because I thought it to be too weird color-wise. I'm extremely appreciative of your comments.

Love the subtlety of color in this shot. I don't know what makes this picture so effective, it just looks so refreshing; maybe because the temperature in Osaka has been consistantly in the high 80's/low 90's throughout September. I've just about had it!

I guess that this is one of the most original views to winter and snow, that I`ve ever seen. As someone wrote about the radial lines of the branches, I too find them intriquing and the toning is absolutely fabulous. This is as if the viewer is facing something abstract and perhaps something that may even be a bit frightening... Hmmm... Could this effect have something to do with your profession as a psychologist? :-) Visualising the childhood traumas of the PN viewers...? ;-D Well, I`m just kidding, but seriously, this is a very effective image!

With warm greetings,

Alpo

Jack: Yikes. That type of sustained heat is miserable. It makes me want to do nothing and see nobody. I'm impressed you are still wandering the streets in such sweltering heat.

Alpo: I aimed my 28mm lens directly into this slowly reviving bush, causing the radial effect. Perhaps you're right. As a psychologist, I'm always sticking my nose (or in this case, camera) directly into others' business. Thanks for looking.

Apparently, you don't live in California anymore, nor Texas, for that matter. If not, snow would be so far from your mind you wouldn't need to "fast forward" through it anymore than an eskimo would fast-forward through a sand storm. LOL! But, a beautiful image, nonetheless.

Tolo: I appreciate your thoughts.

Alberto: Always grateful when you show up. Ever appreciated.

Emmanuel: I detest snow. Wet and cold. I'm trying to make peace with it, though. It is pretty (from inside with a cup of hot chocolate in one's hand). Enjoy the good weather.

JO: Thanks. This has some odd color usage and toning that reminds me of your stuff. Cheers.
