glenwoodsherry 0 Posted September 18, 2007 Natalyia, Thank you for your comments. This is one of many overlooked, and forgotten, spots along Tampa Bay. It lays next to a busy cross-bay bridge, but the tens of thousands of commuters who zoom only a couple of hundred yards from this spot are never aware of it. I decided to focus on the dramatic sky, and allow the breakwater to act as an anchor, for I have always thought of Florida as having the original "Big Sky", rivaling, in expansiveness, anything found out West, or above the Russian Steppes. John Peri 1,032 Posted September 23, 2007 Hy Glenwood. Your last three postings, though different in composition, portray the same peace and tranquility that we often search for in our surroundings. The wedged, forward looking, perspectives in each of these reflect positiveness and optimism to me, as does also the harmony that dominates the scenes captured. I sometimes tend to focus on the hard and obtrusive in my scenic shots, as if in an attempt to rid myself of their presence. You however seem to have come to terms with these which reflects strongly in your work. There are clouds here also, but they are passing by and away into the distance ... Link to comment
