A terrific image. An uncompromised focus on just two essential element on an overall somewhat subdued and desaturated canvass. The result is a somewhat dreamy, otherworldly atmossphere. Very nice.

I love the way the umbrella emerges from the darkness contrasting with the chair in the light. The "thing" that makes the image for me are the stripes on each subject!! Very nice work Dave... 'bout time too...where you been? Missed ya!! Regards....LJ

The dreaminess was provided by an old f1.5 lens, so there was no postproc needed there.

 

Lesa I don't work at home anymore so my PN time is compromised, thanks for noticing my absence!

the play of light and shadow has isolated some few elements that look magnified in an extraordinary way...it makes the image so funny and aesthetic at the same time...something weird in the best of sense meaning original...very original...
