jayme 0 Posted September 9, 2007 What a cutie :) I couldn't resist removing the chair in the background & hand-painting her. She's a doll. Hope you don't mind. Remember, if ever you have anyone that wants a hand-colored image, I now have my shop open & I am doing this for other photographers. I really love doing it :) Just e-mail me. Link to comment
giggles 0 Posted September 9, 2007 I never mind when you play. I love seeing others' perspective on my images. You do such a nice job hand coloring and I will definitely keep you in mind if I have any customers that would like that service. I have done a few but I tend to rush through them which doesn't work so well. Great job taking the chair out. The chair is a little mushroom style that I found at Wally-World. The kids love it and little babies fit perfect in it but it's brown and I hate the metal legs. My next purchase will be a new foam chair called a Bumbo. It helps even little babies sit straight up. sashanp 0 Posted September 10, 2007 not a huge fan of hand coloring, but was wondering if you pushed brightness and contrast up to bring out her eye color more, or was the shot simply overexposed somewhat, could you post original? I really love the eye detail you've brought out. Link to comment
giggles 0 Posted September 10, 2007 Sasha - Here is the original. As you can see the hat caused a large shadow in her eyes so I did have to bump up the exposure and adjust curves. I also dodged the area under her eyes and her actual eyes. Thanks for noticing that I did work on it. I am pleased that you approve. Link to comment

giggles 0 Posted September 16, 2007 Thanks Dan & Ger for commenting. White and black are my favorite backdrops to shoot against. I think it just draws your attention to only the child. I had a hard time with the hat/shadows but her mom really wanted the hat on. Link to comment
