airismeri 0 Posted November 15, 2007 I've been watching this photo repeatedly and it got a lot of tension. There's not any single reason why this photo "talks" to me but one thing is sure...there's no easy approaches to self portraits, still you have landed very succesfully here. Link to comment
bradkim 8 Posted May 14, 2008 Shawn put it right... "Captivating." Marko summed up... this photo "talks." You are blindfolded....it could imply some handicapped condition/situation, but at the same time you show the strong/powerful physics of your body through the neckline, arm, hand, feet.... I am intrigued, Holly.... I wonder what message you intended to convey to the viewer? Anyway, this is an excellent photo that makes viewer think and imagine.... My hearty congratulations on this wonderful work! Link to comment
hollysommers 0 Posted June 19, 2008 I've found that most things that hold me back in my life end up being of my own design. I keep myself locked in my dark tower, stubborn and skeptical. Restraints hand-chosen from a closet full of insecurities, and slipped over hot skin. I can live in my own world for a while, ignoring distractions, following pattern and feeling some sense of accomplishment. But every once in a while, something shines bright enough in the distance to be both seen and felt. I can't decide if I want it to move closer to me or not. Or do I want to be the one to reach out? Sense memories trail electricity through my bones and I breathe in the possibilities. There are equal parts fear and intrigue. This is the space between. Link to comment
