Great DOF, tones, details and light!

...for noticing this humble picture. It was a pretty patch of flowers on a pretty morning. Nothing really deep or meaningful other than nature waking up. I appreciate you all taking the time to comment.

Jeff, I saw this photograph earlier and thought it to be beautiful and loved your title "7:43 a.m." It immediately reminded me of a quiet lyrical poem that I like so much, own, but my anthology is gone. In the poem, the speaker is lying on a sofa (or a bed; I don't remember) at around 3:00 PM. Nothing is happening--nobody is around, so to amuse himself, he spits into the air. That's it! But it's so charmingly constructed like this photograph and title. These little things work for me, particularly when there is so much talent and artistic detail to create a seemingly casual effect. Beautiful colors, lighting, and crispness.

So pretty and so early:) it seems that you are not the only one woke up in the morning!

Jeff, very good exposure,DOF & light. Excuse me, when I say that you are ,indeed, lucky and blessed to see beauty in Nature. Beauty is the footprints of God.

Not saying this is better, but here is a square crop to throw out an idea.For me,the one far right on your original goes against the grain.

Donna: You're comments always make me smile first and then think. Sometime Mother Nature just says "Over here!" This was a little patch of flowers that had the only ray of early morning light around. Pure luck.

 

Adela: My kids wake up at 6, so I had downed several cups of coffee by then and was walking the dog with a camera around my neck. Usually, either a kid or a dog accompanies me on my photo excursions. Multi-tasking.

Joseph: Your crop was my original shot. I posted it and then took it down because I thought everyone would be disappointed in such a clean shot. I put the messy one back up. Ultimately, I agree with you, though.

Your loaded version might be 'messy' but that natural nautre. A sweet floral pic.
