karen rexrode 0 Posted January 5, 2008 Thank-you for posting, I was very excited to see you post new images. I also love the dark sepia. The pose and facial expressons are very good. I wish that the fingernails of girl on the right wrapped around the others waist weren't so white. More natural nails like the model on the left. A small matter, I know, but my eyes keep wanting to look at the white specks, like they don't fit in. Link to comment
vp 0 Posted January 10, 2008 More real and intimate than reality. Outstanding use of shadows. Another masterpiece. Link to comment
simone_graef 0 Posted September 24, 2008 the expressions plus the title kept me on the image for a while ..each enhanced the other .. Link to comment
wieslaw1 0 Posted November 19, 2009 I just retracted my comments expressed elsewhere in 2007, but cannot help being critical again. /Why do I waste my time here — I do not know/ I have the following problems with the above picture: though I like the expression on the face of the lady on the right side /more poetic/, the one on the left appears to a certain degree incompatible. Would prefer both models to express a similar, or "matching" attitude... or whatether you call it. The shadow of the right elbow of the girl on the left blends too much with the background behind her. The background is BEHIND the models. If you blend the subjects like above, you do away with the 3—dimensionality of your picture. Then there are two distracting spots which I did not recognize at all, but a commentator above did — the unneccesary NAILS. It is easy to retouch them. The worst however is the left hand placed around the waist of the girl on the right. It is an artificial, made of plastic and glued?, palm. It belongs to no one. Moreover it is too large to be real – compare the size with the left hand of the girl on right. Cheers! Link to comment
