toshio 8 Posted December 19, 2002 Thank you for your kind comment. Part of me agrees with you and the other part doesn't. Cropping out the roof definitely gives more inpact to the image, but showing the roof gives you a SMALLNESS of the house wich, I think, is somewhat important. Cropping part of the roof may be the best solution. I'll try that. Thank you. Link to comment
tholte 16,871 Posted September 6, 2003 I agree with Ben, eliminate the roof for a better image. Link to comment
arond a. 0 Posted August 8, 2004 Blah blah, keep the roof. It's fine. The image is strong enough by itself that cropping the roof would add nothing. If anything it would detract from the image by shaving off some of the ivy. Great photo. Somewhat surreal. Link to comment
maria 7 Posted June 4, 2005 I think the roof makes the image too busy - after all, the accent is on the door, and there is already a window to distract from it. You have great B&W photography, Toshio! regards Maria Link to comment
blowingsky 0 Posted June 13, 2006 Looks like you get one comment a year. So I'm the 2006 guy, I guess. Just a wonderful "street" shot. Reminds me that composition is not only arrangement in space but also in time. There is an interesting arrangement of eight rectangles here, not counting the frame, which I probably should. But enough of that, you got the nun and that's what put the life in this moment. Link to comment
