At first glance, my reaction was "Very cute". But after thinking a while I decided I might change a few things. First, I would zoom in a little closer, the diagonal tracks would still be there & I think they are the most important aspect of the background. Second, I might suggest not a kiss on the lips, but a kiss on the cheek. Since I like the way she is leaning & the way her hair is done up, I would have her kissing him on the cheek.

 

Your idea was a good one. It would make a really sweet card

This photo definitely deserved a 7/7 all the way...I personally feel that children's actions come from what they see with their eyes either by the actions from their parents or other adults of the way Affection is shown. Great capture!

If I might be so bold, I agree with Jayme on the kiss. A kiss on the cheek would lead to a stronger image, as it retains some of those childish norms around that sort of act rather then turn them into analogues of the bride and groom at the wedding.

 

The rest of the image is very well composed. It is a strong image, and one I like, and one that I think would still be as strong without the gimmick of the color flowers. In my opinion, the children should be the focus of the image not the flowers.

Very sweet photo. Love the coloured flowers against the mono subject. Great position and tones. My only comment is the bright white sky in the upper right distracts my attention from the subject. I tried to crop it out for you if you dont mind. Still a good photo. Congrats.
