Carcasonne, Rousillon, France.The medieval ramparts of the walled town of Carcasonne is a stunning location to behold especially as it is so wonderfully illuminated at night. I photographed the town from a back road with a scrubby vineyard in front of it. There was no hope of retaining detail in this, so I let it blacken into a silhouette and let it provide an attractive black fringe for the walled town.New!! Photographic Holidays at TRANSIENT LIGHT.

You've done very well here. The crossover light really works especially when you get a colour gradient like that. I found it very difficult to find a good vantage point and wandered the surrounding fields a bit without finding much.
