hopsage 0 Posted September 3, 2007 From the Tom McCall Preserve, near The Dalles, OR. A chilly morning, respectable breeze, and birdsong everywhere. Link to comment
johne37179 29 Posted September 3, 2007 Lovely shot, John. I like what you have done with the contrast and saturation. Link to comment
stp 6 Posted September 3, 2007 Wonderful image of a beautiful place. I tried, but Dog Mountain was too much for my legs so early in the season. Next year. I believe this is looking west, correct? Link to comment
hopsage 0 Posted September 4, 2007 A western view it is indeed, Stephen. It's not Dog Mountain, though, but a pretty easy trail going north from the parking lot of the McCall preserve. I think it took me and my friend about 20 minutes and maybe 200' of uphill to get here. We were staying for a few days in Portland for a conference, and decided to drive up the gorge during the morning of a particularly dull keynote address. Made it back to Portland in time for the first technical session at 9:30 :-) Link to comment
stp 6 Posted September 4, 2007 John, that's my definition of a perfect conference. Well done! Link to comment
