dianadeaver 0 Posted August 31, 2007 Just beautiful. I like everything about it, including that tree's ambition to grow in such a rough environment. I love the different textures of your compisition and your soft, non agressive light. Link to comment
dfeng 0 Posted August 31, 2007 Very nice contrast and composition. A beautiful photo. Link to comment
amirali 1 Posted August 31, 2007 Nice photo , but you could cut the right part or you could have a perfect square frame. but nice shot. Link to comment
younes 0 Posted August 31, 2007 Outstanding Ian! Absolutely gorgeous. Great exposure, great tonalities. I love the texture of the land (I`ve actually been meaning to go shoot there for sometime but never made it!). The photo is magnificent as is, but the suggested square crop would work really nicely as well! Link to comment
biggerjon 0 Posted August 31, 2007 Great image great composition, spot on exposure and dramatic effect. I think the shape works as is! Nice work Jon Link to comment
iancoxleigh 0 Posted September 1, 2007 Thank you all. I can't wait to get some time and some paper and make a print! I've been thinking of giving the Museum Silver Rag a try and this looks like a candidate for that paper. Link to comment

gordonjb 10,860 Posted September 10, 2007 Strong composition. The lighting does an excellent job of accentuating the rolling landscape. The cloud formation fills the frame nicely and I like the fact that the sky behind the tree is empty so there is no competition between the foliage and the clouds. This looks somewhat akin to the whale back features of granite in my area but I'm guessing that this is soil rather than rock. A well thought out and well shot image Ian, congrats. Link to comment
jana 1 Posted November 1, 2007 It looks like the old cloud splashed against the rock. I like it a lot, cheers Jana Link to comment
