It seems a little dark, but I'm viewing it on my laptop, so this may be my problem, not yours. Interesting composition.

I'll have to check on some other computers. I often wonder whether perhaps my monitor is set out of normal range in some way.

It's rather dark, but moody and beautiful! I think the darkness suits the mood of it just fine.

I turned down the brightness on my monitor which was set fairly high and readjusted the image. I'd be interested in hearing from as many people as possible as to whether they think this image is better/worse than the first?

Please let me know which of the three I've posted is best. The only difference is adjusting levels.

I like all of them, but the middle is my favorite. I like the last one too, except the glare has gotten a bit harsh, but I like the way the background detail shows in that one. The middle one highlights the leaves better. Isn't it great to have so many options?:)

Phillip, I came from your forum posting (I think such a forum would be a great addition. I'm often conflicted about such things -- B&W or colour; Cold tone or Warm etc . . .).

 

Of these, I like your last iteration the best. Maybe just a tad darker (but not as dark as the others).
