nature Painted Lady on Pink Hyssop

I'm starting to try and work on my technique and composition after

some months of distraction into other things. I like the visual flow

of this pic, and I think it's a pretty good capture, but it'll be

really helpful to get others' reactions, comments and suggestions.

Very good composition. Bravo.

Steve and Michael! I'm glad you like the composition 'cause I worked on it. I took a lot of frames and waited for the right position of the butterfly in relation to the out-of-focus stems in the background. Also, I consciously tried to get the subject within the left and bottom thirds. I'm not thrilled with the sharpness, even with tripod and remote cable release. Any suggestions?

Very nice comp violating the rule of thirds....rules were meant to be broken! If this were a bit sharper/better focus it would be a 6/6 or 7/6. Regards, Ken
