Taliesin West was architect Frank Lloyd Wright's winter home and

school in the desert, the design was an organic response to a

combination of driving factors. To every one that loves great

architecture out there, this is an incredible place to visit. Your

comments on this picture are highly appreciated.

Excelente luz y composicion.

OOOOOOOOOHHHHH!!! I am SO glad that you dropped in on my portfolio!! Because I am thinking that I'm going to make a quick trip to Arizona for a few days in April. I was reading about this place, and want to put it on my list of things to see. Now I know I will HAVE to get there! These images rock! May I ask - was this taken at sunrise or sunset? Makes all of the difference in the world.... :-)

Thank you for the compliment Lou Ann; all this pictures where taken at dusk, if you visit Taliesin West you have to take the tour, which I really recommend, this was the last one of that day, the hour helped a lot, as you well say it makes all the difference in the world. I'm sure you'll have a blast in Arizona, there are a lot of places to go and see, I don't know how much time you have but a few I recommend, besides this place, are the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Escalante's staircase, and Sedona. I'll be looking forward for your pictures of that trip. Cheers!

Juan, traveling a bit in your folders, this one caught my eye. FLR was a very skilled architect, and this is a beautiful work which its element are wonderfuly lighted. The timing and the bit of its surrounding are a adding to the whole, as the colors are an organic part of both.

Pnina, thank you for rescuing this one from oblivion. Like you said, FLW was, and still is one of the most accomplished artist of the 20th century; needless to say, I've enjoyed dearly being able to walk through some of his buildings, even more so, when I have a camera as companion.
