danbliss 0 Posted August 24, 2007 Thanks Daniel. I am glad that you liked it. As you might guess, it took a lot of work to get the photo into shape. I like how the texture and color came out. Because of the detail in the field, I think it works much better larger. Of course, I was a little nervous setting up the shot because staring at the sun with a fast, longish lens just seems like a bad idea. Link to comment
portfolio_photo_frb 0 Posted August 24, 2007 Great composition and colour, little pertub with line of tree. Amazing photo. Good shot... Link to comment
lbattjes 0 Posted August 24, 2007 Impressive colors and the mist and the clouds add wonderful atmosphere to this shot. My only nit would be the vignetting...I really don't think you need it here. Otherwise, lovely work. Les Link to comment
gordonjb 10,860 Posted August 28, 2007 I like the tones, the narrow colour palette is wonderful. A perfect amount of detail in the shadows just enough to make out the distinction of each tree crown. I think the vignetting is appropriate here. The foreground illumination in the original file looks like it was quite uniform and the vignetting confines the eye in a way that would be lost without it. I'd love to see this printed really large. danbliss 0 Posted September 19, 2007 So... this is one of those weird photos. I have to admit that this is one of my favorites. It feels magical to me. It doesn't seem to resonate with everyone else as it does with me. It does look noticeably better in the larger version (my opinion). I am not sure what it all means, but that is true with much of life. Thanks for viewing and for your comments. Dan Link to comment
