vorlandphotography 0 Posted August 23, 2007 In 1900, prospective settlers -- many of them newly arrived immigants -- were conveyed by horse and buggy to this building in an otherwise vacant part of North Dakota. Here they were rushed into buying land from the vast acreage granted the Northern Pacific Railroad by the Federal Government. Today, most of their descendents, and the railroad tracks,are long gone.
