pirateken 0 Posted August 23, 2007 really like the composition and perspective on this shot. the repetative patterns of the arches and steps really keeps your eyes moving. the tones are very nice also. just a couple things i would tweek....straighten the horiz a little to the right, and.... crop out the top to the brick in the arch.... but you probably alreay saw that:) congrats Lex Link to comment
lex_photo 0 Posted August 23, 2007 I've cropped it, and I've tried to straighten it, but I think it's one of those mornings, I didn't get my coffee or at least that's the excuse I'm using for not being able to straighten the picture properly. Thanks for your help again. - Lex Link to comment
pirateken 0 Posted August 23, 2007 looks great! i think you straightend it just enough ... the bottom and top arch are very straight .the middle ones are tilted a little, which is O.K. because it balances out when you look at the photo as a whole. how bout a version with the top cropped even lower to the second arch...the bright at the spot kind of bothers me. you may lose some sense of scale and it will took more like an abstract. lex_photo 0 Posted August 24, 2007 Here is the next crop. I don't think that I like it as much, I think that it feels more cramped then the first crop. But that could just be me, and that I'm sentimental about the first one :) . - Lex Link to comment
pirateken 0 Posted August 25, 2007 yup,i have to agree with you Lex... the first crop is better. its more dramatic and gives you a real sense of being there. Link to comment

tpurvis 0 Posted January 31, 2008 Your first crop works great. Sometimes it is all we can do to get the exposure correct. Very nice shot. Link to comment
