dant 0 Posted June 23, 2002 Very interesting pose. A little too harsh the light from the left. More sharpness would help. I think it's worth trying different framings for this nice composition. Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted June 23, 2002 Hi Kathleen. your approach to nudes is very nice. I agree with Dan on this one: Sharpness and framing need some attention. I like the subject's pose, and you have used lighting well. I like the photo of her back the best, though. Link to comment
stephenh 0 Posted June 26, 2002 Kathleed, I like this series a lot. The photos have some technical problems, but that may be in the scan (if that is how you got the photos digital), but your poses are pretty much right on. BTW, do you know Wayne Quillam or Michael Marlborough? Both do figure work in Oz, Wayne near Canberra (I think) and Michael near Sydney (I think). Link to comment

jonathancharlesphoto 4 Posted June 27, 2002 Beautiful and original pose. The sharpness is fine - focussed quite reasonably on her face so that her lower body is gently blurred. It would be nice to keep just a little tonality in the highlight areas but I think this would be difficult (without changing the overall lighting) unless you scanned the neg and printed digitally. I'm not sure that I'd keep so much of the wall on the right but that's just personal preference. Excellent photo. ... Jonathan Link to comment
graham_byrnes 0 Posted June 29, 2002 I really like the pose... and the lighting and framing. Maybe I'd have given her left elbow a little more space at the top and try for just a bit of texture in the highlight above her breast, but that might show up on a print anyway. The shadow density seems just right and the shadow line is very nice. Link to comment
artistic_nudes 0 Posted July 8, 2002 great shot, great pose, great model. i would have trimmed her hair a little, to make that area a little more neat. Link to comment
graham_byrnes 0 Posted July 31, 2002 ...and I'm glad you didn't "make her more neat"... Link to comment
carl_williams 0 Posted July 2, 2003 Nice shot, and I'll add my vote against "neat", too. Link to comment
