As Philip said, no better words here... If I had to say why not 10... it would be about the kind of slightly muddy areas at the bottom of the shot... which is minor, and most certainly comes from some sort of extreme burning or usage of levels or curves in PS... I'm sure that it can easily be adjusted... Feel free to e-mail about it if required. This image will sell like hot cakes, Juergen... Touch it up at the bottom and direct to an art gallery ! Fabulous work - and probably the most spectacular shot I ever saw in your folders... BRAVO !!

Got the very essential core of heart-touching feeling from a ordinary subject in the way of artistic expression.

Very very nicely done !

As others have said. Great shot! My only quibble would be why the top of the right grasses are cut off. I think just a tad bit of room there would have seems better balanced and not so tight.

A work of art. Goes to show that a photo isn't just in the exposure, it's in the print as well, even if it is manipulated in a digital darkroom.

I like the composition, with the two "hairy lumps" and the angle and all. I like the tones on the grass very much. I like the browntone presentation overall very much (and I tend to dislike warmtone B&W).

I'm bothered by the tips of the grass going out of frame, particularly on the big hump. I don't know how far it goes; if it's longer than I expect (based on the bits that end in-frame) then I might see why you chose this cropping.

Is it just my imagination, or are all the "Critique" photos that show up on the front page for the past several days Black & White?

I much prefer this one as the other one. The different tones of the grass, a more complex sky and a cleaner ground. An excellent shot.
