30 second exposure, ISO 1600, f2.2

I worked with the levels a bit to darken the silhouettes and brighten the stars. Also adjusted the wb to get more accurate colors in the sky.

Composition and exposure are spot on in this shot. My only question is how did you get the meteor to pose? Alternatively, how many shots did you have to burn before you got this perfect one?

Actually, I got lucky, this was the third exposure of the night. :) I still can't believe it actually ended up so bright and in a good spot!

A wonderful shot of this fleeting phenomenon. I had the luck of catching a meteor this summer, but definitely I find your shot better. Your folder with night photos is splendid. Best wishes. Peter

Fantastic shot. Exposed to perfection - long enough for the meteor and quick enough to avoid egg shaped stars. I too did not think this possible. Well done.
