Dead whitebark trunks

There's a spot on the PCT, just west of Collier Cone, where the light

at end of day has an almost physical quality to it. During a late

summer camp in 2003, that physicality seemed to grab a whole forest of

whitebark pine snags. This is a detail of the experience.
