I will miss seeing your work on PN as well as your helpful critiques. I for one would be interested in your reasons for leaving, if you care to share them. You will be missed.

Micki is an inspiration for all of us, as you have been, and will we hope continue to be. I hope this is not truly farewell, that you will, as Micki asks, keep up your website, and come to "see" us often. Your critiques are so helpful, done with a sharp eye and a generous heart. In any event, as nice as visits may be, you will be missed, friend. Wishing you great adventures. Valerie

What a beautiful tribute to Micki, to all on PN, and to our earth. So many of us admire your work and appreciate your creative spirit. I have saved your personal website to my "favorites" and will view it often. If one believes in synchronous events: before checking my PN messages yesterday, I was also working on photographing some sunflowers which my husband had purchased for me at our farmers' market. Here is my humble tribute to you. Blessings, Rebekah B.

Mmmm I am thinking about this. Very often small minds will attack that which they do not understand. Rather than educate themselves, or raise their own intellect, they will take the easiest path. That is to attack and destroy. Sadly Pierre you may have unwittingly allowed yourself to be drawn into this attack. In my martial art studies we were taught that if one removes himself from the fight or chooses not to fight there can be no fight. This will render your attacker powerless. Thus you taking control of the situation. Why do you give so much time and energy to those who do not appreciate your work. Why not focus on those that do and simply ignore the ratings. Are rating so important to you. If my son hates me do I disown him or continue to love him. I choose to love him in the hope that one day he too will love me. Why deny YOURSELF the joy of participating on photo.net and those that value your work. Nothing is either good or bad, just your thinking makes it so. Hamlet, Shakespeare.

God Bless.

The time comes when one must move on, for whatever reason. Setting off on a new journey does not mean one cannot come back.

I wish you all the best - there is so much fun and downright decency to be savoured in this world, in spite of the efforts of a significant minority who seem hell bent on bringing misery.

Whilst PN will miss your imaginative and skilled work I am sure there are many others out there who will enjoy it as much as we have.

Farewell , my friend . You will be missed by many , you are an original. I didn't have to know you , knowing there is someone like you is enough. ;o)

You creativity will be missed on PN. I can't say that I've learned anything from you because you are in a different league of artistic expression than I am, but I've really enjoyed seeing your creativeness! I'll return to this image to read all the other comments when I have more time, but right now I just returned from my "fishin' trip" and need some bedtime.

Pierre, I was so sorry to read of your departure, though I understand your reasons and feelings. In my short time as a PN member, you've been one of the true guiding figures here, and I'll miss your wisdom and comments and wonderful new work. Take good care -- and consider a triumphant return! All the best, Joe

I just came back from a trip to Spain and what do I see...you are leaving ...we can't afford loosing people like you that do real personal subjective work...people like it or not but I will always favor such approach as you have...so take some breath, enjoy your break and holiday, but please come back...

Happy trails to you, until we meet again.

Some trails are happy ones,

Others are blue.

It's the way you ride the trail that counts,

Here's a happy one for you.

Hi Pierre ! I am really shocked when I saw your comment on my shot and your words about farewell ! It was made me really sad and now I don?t know what to say ; in these times I see many of my friends leaving websites because of goockies in the sites . Some photographers are leaving foto.ir for this matter too . This is not along time that I know you and I was really honor to be friend with a great photographer like you and use your fair useful critiques that are helped me a lot in my photography and I have learned many things from you and your comments in this short time and just I hope to see some changes on P.N and see you back in here . I will always visit your portfolio to see if you are back and I hope that you come back to P.N and to us soon and see your great shots and use your photography knowledge . I am with the other friends that persuaded you to not go and stay . And at last I am so sorry and forgive me my friend if I visit your farewell shot so late ; I was far from P.N about one month for my school lessons and I could not visit this shot soon.

Hope to see your re Hi my friend.

All the best

Pierre,

I hope you see that your work, whit, and thoughtful insight were truly loved by many. Ratings truly are not what makes the world go round its the people who really care that you should put your focus on. It looks like you have many good friends here on photo.net. many that are better for just viewing your art and being exposed to new things. Good Luck on your new ventures.
