d._anthony_guimond 0 Posted August 18, 2002 I think it stinks. Do you? What do you think I should change? Link to comment
george_vincent 0 Posted August 21, 2002 What should you change? Cameras. I'm not sure you could do any better than this with a 1mp camera and on-board flash. There's quite a bit of lens distortion toward the outer edges of the frame and some definite artifacting. Underwater, consumer digitals provide the advantage of greater depth of field, but the difference in lens quality usually shows up along the edges. Link to comment
ted_losey 0 Posted August 29, 2002 Is this picture taken in an aquarium? The reason I ask is that it looks like the color balance is shifted a bit. Otherwise, I like the picture except for the Halimeda algae in the upper right. It seems distracting. Link to comment
voets 0 Posted August 30, 2002 I would crop it to remove the out of focus rocks around it Link to comment
don_harper_the_edge 0 Posted September 20, 2002 I would consider cropping out the background just below the back edge of the polyups. You might also crop the front through the middle of the front polyup. If you have photoshop I would try autolevels to adjust the tonality of the photo. I think this was just a tad overexposed taking away the dramatic impact it might have. I suspect we are all bothered by the purple coral in the foreground. If you're ambitious you might try dodging it to a darker shade. Thanks for sharing. Link to comment
