timeless 0 Posted August 13, 2007 What Do you think of this one? This one came straight out of the 30D this way...no manipulation. Does it look like a "stock" photo? Does is look antique? What would you change? Is it even appealing? Any pointers would be GREAT! Leave a Critique/Rating, please and I will do the same to one of your photos. Thank you... Link to comment
adaspin 0 Posted August 14, 2007 Rob: I dont see much "eye appeal" in this photo. Its nice how the word "photographs" is naturally vignetted by the surrounding texture drifting off into a blur... thats a nice artistic effect, but the subject matter itselflacks appeal. I left you a comment by your portfolio. Regards...Andrew Daspin Link to comment
eyeseeyou 0 Posted August 14, 2007 god i hate doing this but agreed w/above the DOF and lense abberations give emphasis to the subject naturally which works to your benefit in this specific type of image.my only critique if any would be that it needs just a lil umph or slight pop to make it stand out just a little more , otherwise great work! danstan 0 Posted August 14, 2007 Rob I think it's a neat BW, but to add some interest, why don't you lay a couple old polaroids in the top un focused area to give some context. I think that would be a really neat bw. db Link to comment
godfather 0 Posted August 14, 2007 i dont have that much experience photography as an hobby so i cant say that much from the techniqal side. I can only say that i like this cause it is simple and works as this way very well. b/w conversion fits perfectly. Art is in the viewers eyes and everybody sees this kind of pictures differently.
