The simplicity of this image is what catches my eye.

Not completely sure whether that drainage hardware

adds something to this image.

I like images like this! There is one thing I might have changed if I were taking this and that would be to perhaps take the picture from lower down and compose it so the the bottom of the vertical light area at the end of the ally meets the end of the reflection in the gulley (the lenghways bricks along the alley) closer to the halfway mark between top and bottom of the frame (does that make sense?). I feel the image at the moment makes me feel like I am going to bang my head on the top of it as it seems a bit claustrophobic from above.

I still like it though.
