Waves pound with ferocity into the rugged coast at Cape Schanck as the sun rises. A well

placed rock allowed a 2nd opportunity to create another sunstar several minutes after

sunrise.

Specifications : Gitzo tripod, 3 stop reverse ND grad, ISO 100, f22, shutter 0.3 seconds.

One of your finest submissions of late! Great action, beautiful comp and colour. The apparent fury of the ocean really makes this an instant classic.

Very nice work! Great sun flare, colors are very good and the light reflecting off of the rocks in the forground top it off perfectly! Congrats!

Best Regards,

Kah,

This is my favorite of your recent amazing images. Fantastic water textures, colors and natural composition. Beautiful image! I'll come back and give it a formal 7/7 rating when the site allows me to.

I cannot see anything thing here that looks artificial. This is an accurate representation of the lighting and the power of the sea that day.

Nice partition of rocks, water and sky on the frame Kah. The rocks are like framing the water, The warm cloud colors are a nice difference of the cold hue of the water,. Good exposure well composed.

I like this not only because the scene which indeed is beautiful, but especially because of the rapid speed used, rendering the water movements "real" preventng the unnatural smooting that most such photo exibite. Secondly because of the foreground and the light of the rocks. Furthermore, one could mention the title that gives credit to the term, "surge", that recently has been labelling other less beautiful actions. Well done !

Of course we are all entitled to our opinions. I consider this to be one of the most 'realistic' of my seascapes, a short shutter speed used to convey what the eye could see in that instant. The colours are arguably less intense than what I saw; some of the underlit red clouds on the horizon are washed out although some colour is retained. I do wish I had not lightened the foreground rock quite so much.

Kah, I guess I'll sum it up by saying that this closely resembles the work of Marc Adamus. Your work has really been consistently great. It's amazing to see you grow in your art. Congrats.
