Your work is amazing. I am in awe.

I accidentally rated the image by Ali with the stolen background. There is a lot of image theft going on now. Another Photo.net member recently informed me that someone on Webshots was using my images, and had recently been featured. The first thing I noticed when I went to Webshots to investigate was an image by Photo.net member Steve Augle being displayed by yet another image theif. These people didn't even alter the images, just posted them as they were when they downloaded them. I think the humiliation of exposure is good, that's what I did. But, other than that, what can you do?

All the best,

Linda Davidson

Good morning friend

For me the best of this photograph is to feel the patagonian winter here at home trough the composition, in the other hand when you use polarizer in these mountain winter's skies...They look too dark IMO (in my opinion).

Un abrazo monstruo.

P.D. Nos vamos en breve (25/08-08/09) a cazar auroras boreales a Alaska ?te apuntas?

That this POW id beautiful, most viewers would agree on. Why it is especially beautiful and

somewhat differs from numerous other ?beautiful? landscapes that we regularly see here on

PN, might be more difficult to tell. In my eyes what makes this photo, apart from the general

scene, are the line of semi-transparent clouds crossing the range of snow covered

mountains and the second row of mountains with a different brownish colour (snow in

shadow) providing depth to the scene. All together, a very attractive scene. Congratulations

to Saul.

It's no doubt a beautiful image and better than any of my landscapes. All of Saul's work is tremendous. However, I think we all have to admit that this photo uses the formula that we all employ - calm waters with good reflection, rule of thirds, and so on. This photo represents the perfection of that formula, but that also means that there is nothing original here. Beautiful, enticing, awe-inspiring, yes, but from a photographic standpoint, not original. Keep in mind that I'm not trying to blast the image or the photographer, but rather I'm mentioning one of the factors that we are asked to consider on PN when evaluating a photo. Does perfecting a tried and true formula (that is, doing it better than most others) represent originality? It's worth discussing.

This is a stunning image with crystal clear reflections!! Normally we people living in cities with great hustle and bustle can never imagine that mother nature has got so much for us. You have a dream of this kind of location and when you wake up and you will definitely say, WOW!! Great God, what a scene I saw in my dreams. In actuall, too when we see some natural scenes, we just can't resisit, but praise the almighty, "WOW" what a scene, thank you GOD!! This is my personall feeling about this great capture of mother nature, thanks! Congratulations, Saul for this wonderful image and sharing this whith PN friends!
