pmj 6 Posted January 31, 2002 The chimneys for the Velsertunnel ventilation system (The Netherlands) are rather ugly grey things, but I hope that by using a telephoto lens to group them into a pattern, I have managed to create something attractive nonetheless. Is the washed-out sky a problem that distracts too much? Thanks for your time and comments. Link to comment
jean_schweitzer 0 Posted January 31, 2002 I do dot have a problem with the sky, I think that it is fine as it is and it doesnt spoil the pattern from the rest of the picture, naybe a discrete framing as the picture disapears in the background of our screens, Nive composition as you said you transformrd the ugly in some thing pleasant to the eye, so it must be pleasant to see in a way or an other, you found your way and it is a good one, thanks to have a look on my picture which I also have sent today to the critique forum. alistair_dove1 0 Posted January 31, 2002 I dont think the white sky is a problem. Its not supposed to be the focus of the photo, and I found that my attention stayed on the repetitive vent pattern on the chimneys, which I think is what you were after. You have some nice pics in that folder. I especially like the end on view of the pipes, the front of the ship framing the building, and the zig-zag step-up picture of the buildin eves. Nice work.
