eranbaruch 0 Posted August 5, 2007 Hi. I'm an Israeli, Afula Is an Israeli city, Jenin is a Palestinian town, road 90 is a road that connects the two settlements, that shot expresses my view of the situation at our side and theirs, what that mean? we all have our meaning for that. Thanks for your time. Eran. Link to comment
Donna Stavis 0 Posted August 12, 2007 Thought provoking, even without the commentary. At first glance, the composition seems to focus on a divide, a complete separation with the hand of this driver giving nothing away. But then I see a knitted kippah in the reflection of the mirror, and I begin to formulate ideas of who is driving this vehicle, and what he may feel according to ideology. Then there is the turn of his head to Jenin, makes him seem wistful, curious, interested, and I'm sure it's my own stuff I'm bringing in here, but perhaps wanting to make a connection. pnital 36 Posted August 12, 2007 Eran, for me, it is symbolic of the conflict on the same land, but the B/W sigh is connecting us without any other possibilitis...... the driver looks to that side and probably thinks of the conflict.Yes, Thought provoking image. Link to comment
