ddomonkos 0 Posted August 1, 2007 Experiment with very slow shutter speed (for motor sports) taken at 1/80th and effective focal length of 270mm (1.6 crop). What do you think? Thanks in advance for your comments. Link to comment
Matthew Brennan 3 Posted August 1, 2007 Hi Dwight, I have to ask was your lens opened right up to f/4 and also what ISO level were you set at? This is a fine composition but to my own taste (I stress my own taste) I think this frame is just a little over blurry esp. when you judge the sharpness of the rumble strip on the apex of the corner - the blue white stripes are well bled into one another. I've shot some track day stuff before (a long time ago mind you) and I remember nothing less than min 1/120th doing justice to most punters. Link to comment
ddomonkos 0 Posted August 1, 2007 Thank you for your comments. ISO 200 and f/22. I always shoot motorsports on shutter priority. Depending on how fast the object is moving I like to use 1/125 to 1/500. This was an experiment to see how low a shutter speed could be used and still capture a reasonable image. Link to comment
