I like the angle and the pose nice portrait

Simple lighting: Would you believe that 3 Vivitar 285HV flashes and a couple of

umbrellas could light a photo like this? I only mention it because there are a lot of people who think you have to spend a fortune to make a good portrait.

 

The secret, as in many things in life, is to keep it simple.

Believe me I know Jeff. I do not use expensive lighting at all. Matter of fact I just have a starter kit - 2 umbrella lights that I do all of my portraits with. At least for now they help me practice. Sometimes the simple lighting/techniques turn out the best. Like this one for instance.
