Sunset at the beach

Not enough color to be considered a good sunset.

Steve- I couldn't find any pictures on your page. Could you put up some sunset pictures then so that I would have a reference for a what makes a good sunset? I thought the monotone sunset helped the boats stand out more. Thanks for your comment -Lex

Alexa - I think you're right that monotone works well here. One of the things that I think is important is using the right lens, so that the sun is the right size in the image, compared to other objects. In this case, the other objects are the boats, and I think the photo is well balanced. I like the offset reflection of orange light from the sun. What do you think about cloning out the radio towers on the horizon? I also wonder if the horizon is tilted a bit. Overall very pleasing. I can hear the waves lapping at the beach.

Hey Alexa,I like this one.I'm agree with Erik,you could clone out some elements from horizon and add a blur to background.Water with reflections of sunlight and boats are so beautiful,that should be more exposed.Best Regards.Andrzej

Andrzej - Thank you for your kind remarks. I agree this needs some work, but I really do like the reflections on the water. I'm hoping to get PS soon, and this might have to be the first picture I work on. When I've finished I would love to hear your remarks on what you think. Thanks and I'll keep you posted - Lex
