mvisionphotography 1 Posted July 28, 2007 I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! ok I know two many (!) BUT You are having so much fun and she is letting you take pictures. A treasure and I love it! ;) Keep clicking. AND do it while you are on the ground because THAT is where she is. At this level is where this pictures are so cool to look at. I love the backwords DOF and those little fly away weeds as they match her hair! Link to comment
gerfoy3 0 Posted July 28, 2007 Micki, I was actually standing, well bending...and she was standing...that was why I went with the idea of putting her in the bottom of the frame..I have to go back here there are wonderful opportunities of shots in the grass playing hide and seek and that sort of thing. mvisionphotography 1 Posted July 28, 2007 YES, go back there. You could have so much fun. I just love places like this. I just wish I took more pictures and not snapshots of my kids (with my thumb in front of the camera) HA Link to comment
richygale 0 Posted July 29, 2007 Fantastic work Ger this is a great portrait I love the dof and composition, my only thought would be to lose some of the space above her. Rich. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted August 5, 2007 Love the setup and idea. Fantastic lighting and great dof effect on the background. I'm not responding that well to the grasses being so blurred. I think more texture and detail surrounding her would be nice. Also would have liked some light in her eyes. You're right though, it is a great spot and I hope you'll do more with it. As for the height of the background, my inclination is to defer to you here. You seem to be experimenting a lot with placement of your subjects and developing a personal vision on that score. To me, that's creative and respectable. I've begun to look forward to your positioning of things within the frame and that makes your work fun and intriguing. I think it's the kind of decision that's really personal when made with such thought and care. Some of those decision will be controversial. Some will like them. Some will not. That's a good thing. janisok 0 Posted August 5, 2007 I really like this shot Ger. I too thought that you were down on the ground with her. I Like, and I agree, that children should be photographed on their level(with exceptions of course). I love that she is what is in focus, that she is the subject in all that open sky above and all the tall grass all around her. It is a beautiful composition. J Link to comment
gerfoy3 0 Posted August 6, 2007 Thanks very much Janis. Fred, yes a bit more DOf would be nice but it was fist ever shot with my new lens 300 2.8.......thanks for your other comment about placement... Ger.. Link to comment
