dave.englund 0 Posted July 28, 2007 Not sure if this is Dunraven pass. But it was a welcome stop aftersome nerve racking mountain driving. A number of serious animalwatchers were peering through their spotting scopes at wildlife on thedistant hills. I watched for a while and then realized the light waswhat I was interested in, so I got out my camera! Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted July 28, 2007 Dave, this is even better than the one I saw earlier this a.m. I really like the light play here. The mountain range is more evident too, IMHO. Very well done. By the way, I want to thank you and Jeff L. for catching my boffo-horizon on my east Glacier image. It was a bust that I flat missed when working it up. I went back, looked at it, reworked it, and reposted the image. Good eye, Amigo! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
dave.englund 0 Posted July 29, 2007 Thanks Chris. This is one of those shots I keep coming back to in Photoshop to see if I can get it just right. It seems a challenge because of what I'm trying to do with the shadows; to make the lighted areas stand out more. It keeps bringing me back to trying to work out the kinks in my color management - on some computers (e.g., my parent's LCD) the shadow areas are too dark. Strangely, they are a tad bit lighter on my computer than what we see here at photo.net. I've been noticing that when I upload images to photo.net they display a bit darker online. I have yet to figure that out. And, of course, I have no idea how other folks are actually seeing them on their computers. But complements like yours at least tell me I'm getting close;-) Link to comment
