hanna_cowpe 0 Posted July 29, 2007 Satish, your long lens and teleconverter has brought the puffin so close that there is not enough depth of field to bring it all into focus.Only a small area around his left eye is in focus, and the left side of the face (his right) and the bridge of the beak is burned out. I think leaving off the converter, zooming less or stepping back would have given you more depth. Your other two shots of the puffin are good examples. Link to comment
paul_schrader 0 Posted December 2, 2009 very nice perspective and the depth of field is ideal supporting the perspective in my opinion. i like it so much better than it would be fully sharp. mostly, concerning animal pictures, you get to see, everything in focus, and mostly its what you want, but here the not full covering dof really adds to the picture!
