jerrymat 5 Posted August 22, 2007 Interesting as a travel photo. The background is very formally symmetrical while the foreground is not. To me that represents a clash in intent. Link to comment
bjcarlton 0 Posted August 24, 2008 I kind of like the people in the foreground, or the idea of having people in the foreground. Otherwise, the image would be sterile, just a documentation of the structure. You might buy another plane ticket and go back and try to play with getting different people into the foreground; there could be some interesting interplays between the foreground and the background to be had there. I also see that this was an exposure challenge; it looks like the building is a bit burned out, while there is noise on the people in the foreground. You could always try to use fill-flash while pretending to be invisible. After all that work, you could treat yourself to an ice cream from one of the many stands I recall as being in this park. dirtlawyer 0 Posted August 28, 2008 Barry; Thanx for your comments. I have a hunch that if I took the same shot today, I'd get better results. I have gone from a D200 to a D300, which whould provide better exposure range. Link to comment
